Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup lettuce leaves
- 4 slices of bacon, cooked crispy
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties
Place the burger patties on the grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer for your desired level of doneness
During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty and cover to melt the cheese
While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly golden
In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and Dijon mustard to create a special sauce
Assemble the burgers: Spread the special sauce on the bottom half of each bun
Place a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, followed by a burger patty with melted cheese
Top with sliced avocado, tomato, red onion, and crispy bacon
Finish with the top half of the bun
Serve your California Dream Burger hot with your favorite side dish
Enjoy
