This elegant appetizer combines the creamy richness of Brie cheese with the sweetness of Chardonnay-soaked golden raisins, all atop crispy baguette slices. Its a perfect pairing for a glass of Chardonnay or any other light-bodied white wine.
Ingredients:
- 1 baguette, sliced
- 8 oz Brie cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1 cup Chardonnay wine
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C
In a small saucepan, heat Chardonnay over medium heat
Add golden raisins and let simmer for 5 minutes
Remove from heat and let cool
Cut baguette into slices and arrange on a baking sheet
Toast in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes or until lightly golden
Spread butter on the toasted baguette slices
Top each slice with a slice of Brie cheese
Drain the Chardonnay-soaked golden raisins and sprinkle them over the Brie-topped toasts
Drizzle honey over the top
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly
Serve warm and enjoy
