This Sriracha Hummus recipe takes the smooth, creamy texture of regular hummus and adds a spicy kick from sriracha sauce. The result is a tasty dip thats great for parties or snacking.
Ingredients:
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons tahini
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Water as needed
Instructions:
In a food processor, combine chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, sriracha sauce, cumin, and salt
Process until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed
With the processor running, drizzle in olive oil and continue to blend until creamy
If the hummus is too thick, add water, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary
Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl
Drizzle with a little extra olive oil and sprinkle with additional sriracha sauce for garnish, if desired
Serve with your favorite vegetables, crackers, or pita bread
